CITE Dual Diagnosis Play Therapy Services

The Play Therapy services offered as an extension of RHC's CITE(Community Integrated Training and Education) program are influenced by the Developmental, Individual-Difference, Relationship-Based Therapy Model.

Individual Play Therapy is based on the work of Stanley Greenspan. Greenspan believed that children learn to engage people and things in their environment more meaningfully through guided play and leisure activities.  This type of intervention connects with children at their developmental level and assists them in establishing the foundational steps needed for building successful social relationships and developing emotional coping skills.

Group Play Therapy focuses on the developmental aspects of social-interaction and supports children at similar developmental stages in establishing the foundational steps needed for building successful social relationships and developing emotional coping skills.
