RHC Nursing Consultation Services

RHC’s Nursing Department is able to provide clinical oversight and consultation on relevant healthcare issues affecting the MR/DD population and their caregivers.  This includes, but is not limited to, training in CPR, First Aid, Blood borne Pathogens, and OSHA Regulations. Training can also be provided for Delegated Nursing certification, which is a requirement for any provider agency employee that will be passing medications in a licensed setting, as well as training in G-Tube and J-Tube maintenance. In addition, Diabetes Management, including insulin monitoring and administration, can also be addressed in a separate class that follows the guidelines conceived by the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation.   

The experienced RHC nursing staff may also be helpful in the family planning of continued care for aging individuals with disabilities.
