Psychological Services RHC's Psychological Services, provided by CITE (Community Integrated Training and Education) professionals, offers an array of programming developed to meet the needs of children and adolescents with co-occurring mental retardation/developmental disabilities and mental health concerns, as well as providing support to their families and caregivers. These psychological services promote mental wellness in children and adolescents with developmental disabilities via a holistic approach that encourages esteem, competence, social-connectedness, and emotional development. Intervention and assessment strategies reflect current best practice guidelines for individuals with a dual diagnoses of a developmental disability and mental illness. The services are provided and coordinated by Dr. Carrie Mason-Sears, Ph.D, Clinical Coordinator of Child and Family Services, CITE Services. Dr. Mason-Sears provides psychotherapy services for children and adolescents with co-ocurring developmental disabilities and mental health concerns, offers client-centered mental health consultation to CITE staff and other community providers, and facilitates development of clinical programming and community education. If you would like additional information regarding Psychological Services, please contact Susan Pahner, Director of CITE Services, at spahner@rhcorp.org, or at (513)619-2936. |
